The Department of Education (DepEd) and STI College launch the second mobile school yesterday to make Information Communication Technology (ICT)-enhanced education more accessible to students and teachers in schools without computer laboratories. It is really great project. Many students will benefit in this project. As we talked about in my report most of the schools here in Caloocan doesn’t have own computer. They are just renting outside the school that’s why they experienced to use computer but it’s very expensive. Sometimes most of the student doesn’t know to control their selves to do first the assignment before opening their facebook, Friendster, twitter and many more social networking sites.
It’s a mobile Isuzu 50-seater roving bus managed by an instructor. Computers are equipped with DVD-CD writers, LCD monitors, and sound system. It shows that DepEd wants to integrate ICT in different schools though they are lack of funds they still find a ways to integrate it. We should be thankful for it. "Integrating ICT to our educational system will certainly improve the learning and thinking skills of our students," Lapus said. It is really true! What I’ve said earlier it can help us to use our critical and creative thinking. As a student’s we should responsible how to use computer properly. Remember that government find ways for our learning not for other matters. It also helps us to see the real pictures of what lesson we have so it really helps!
The good thing here we can go with the flow of trend today. No can’t stop now the pervasive of Technology and because of that project we can now be globally competitive. Where ever you go there are still gadgets. It really makes the world round! It depends to all the students how they will use their skill with what they learned in their computer class. I just hope they will use it for their studies not to watch some pornographic videos via online.
